Etsy and Native American jewelry
If you have been to my site before, you know I looove Etsy! For those not familiar with Etsy, it is a site where independent artists can sell their work across the world. Therefore, unique products can be found by buyers. One can literally spend hours on Etsy looking up products. However, today I wanted to share with you a few of my favorite products and shops. With Valentine’s day around the corner (yep it’s already less than 2 weeks away….), I thought I would provide some suggestions….It is not an exhaustive list but rather suggestions of a few items and shops to look up. It is really hard to go wrong when shopping on Etsy.
1- Purple Finch shop: Although this shop is not entirely focused on Native products, I do like the designs of their dreamcatcher anklets and bracelets. You can see them below. I know they are going on my “want” list for sure!
2- StoneWear Designs: A unique shop with Southwest and “Inca/tribal like” inspired stone jewelry. I am particularly fond of her earrings, which often have unique designs with turquoise stones and metal. The ones below are a good subtle design and price.
3- Beaded Creations Etc.: For a more “flamboyant” jewelry, this store should be visited, You will find a bit of everything, including peacock feather earrings (superb, I want them!) as well as more Southwest style jewelry such as beaded earrings like the ones below. Prices vary (the earrings below are 30$).
4- SheekyDoodle: Well yes the shop has a strange name….But if you want silver and turquoise jewelry, this is a good shop to visit. Lots and lots of turquoise necklaces, earrings and cuffs. Like the necklace below, named the Spirit of the Eagle.
5- LJGreywolf: Yes I am aware that I have previously mentioned this shop owned and operated by Shawn Carter. You can see my review of one of his medicine pouch here. I have received such great service and I find the quality of his products to be excellent. So yes I am mentioning it again 🙂 Shawn also sells fantastic Native American Southwest style jewelry. Like the bracelet below that retails for 60$. Again the service provided by this shop is exceptional.
