I was so happy to see your post about soapberries. I’m putting together a planner for First Nation kids of BC (FHNA) and there is a section about traditional foods and soapberries are mentioned. I would really appreciate your permission to add the picture you have of the soapberry ice cream as I think it would be a great visual for kids. Let me know if this would be ok or not! Thanks!

My wife has breathing issues that traditional medicine has diagnosed as asthma, but frankly we did not believe this. So we found a medicine healer on Six Nations Reserve in Ontario, Canada. He made up a mixture of herbs for her to boil and drink three times a day. The results where unbelievable. Unfortunately 7 months later she caught a bad cold and her breathing issues have returned. The gentlemen we dealt with has become vary unreliable and we do not know what mixture he used to cure her the first time. Any ideas.
Also I suffer from IBS and was wondering if there are recipes to help with this as well.
Do have a book you sell or any advise on where to find a reliable book with recipes.
    Thank you
